D’Alembert Strategy

The D’Alembert is one of the safest system you can use because while you do increase your bets after a loss, it’s at a much smaller rate than the Martingale. This is an even chance betting system.

All you do with this system is pick a starting bet, then you increase your bets by one after a loss, and decrease them by one after a win. The theory is that once you have as many wins as losses, you will be in profit by the amount of bets you’ve placed.

The “D’Alembert” strategy is also relevant in crash games. Consider the example of betting in the crash game “Aviator” by the “D’Alembert” method.

Auto cashaut will always be constant – (2x), changing only the bet amount Let’s go through a quick example starting with a bet of 5:

Bet $ (auto cashaut 2x)Win / LossProfit
15$Loss– 5 $
26$Loss – 11 $
37$ Win– 4 $
46$ Loss– 10 $
57$ Win– 3 $
66$ Win+ 3 $
75$ Loss– 2 $
86$ Win+ 4 $

The maths for what we have just done is as follows: 0 – 5 – 6 + 7 – 6 + 7 + 6 – 5 + 6 = 4

In the above sequence, there was 4 losses and 4 wins, but despite this, you are in profit by 4. This is the golden rule with the D’Alembert – If the number of wins is the same as the number of losses, you will always be in profit by the number of bets.

Advantages Of The D’Alembert

 – I don’t think any crash strategy can be described as safe because they all carry an element of risk, but this one is about as safe as it gets.

Disadvantages Of The D’Alembert

 – The potential winnings are low which is to be expected from a relatively low risk system. You’re also relying on winning as many bets as you lose which isn’t likely to happen over the long term of play.

Another problem the D’Alembert faces is that you can sometimes go on a long losing run where your bets increase a lot. Once this happens, you find yourself in a hole that can only be recovered by going on an equal winning run.
